description

According to a study from the University of California-Davis, psychedelic drugs including MDMA, psilocin, and LSD can promote the brain to repair itself. Published in Cell Reports, the study found that these psychedelics prompted neurons to grow new dendrites, which send information to other cells in the brain. Researchers also noticed that neurons exposed to these substances had a greater density of dendritic spines, that receive information from nearby synapses.
