President Donald Trump recently made a national emergency declaration. He added Chinese telecommunications Huawei on the U.S. Commerce Department’s “entity list.” This means Huawei would have to get U.S. government approval before buying parts from U.S. vendors. According to Business Insider, the U.S. thinks the company’s technology could be used for spying. Huawei said it’s willing to work with the U.S. and that the ban also serves to hurt the U.S.
