The Department of Justice’s inspector general released a report citing former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for misconduct. According to the Justice Department's report, McCabe's disclosures to media about an ongoing investigation in 2016 constituted misconduct in office. The inspect general concluded that McCabe also had a lack of candor during conversations with other FBI officials about the disclosures, including former FBI Director James Comey.
