President Donald Trump said he “probably will” declare a national emergency to fund his border wall. According to Business Insider, Trump said there is a “crisis” at the U.S.-Mexico border. It is not clear on whether Trump can legally declare a national emergency just to fund the wall. If Trump does it he could face pushback from congress and also in the courts. Republicans fear it can set a precedent that a future Democratic president can use to pursue liberal policies.
